IS The Bad Film Society?!
A
long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ... Ed Polish
had a dream. His dream was to find a way to share his
love of Bad Films with others ... to take films which
were languishing in the dust bins of video stores, never
touched by human hands, put them on the small screen,
invite a few friends, and see what happened. It was
truly an Experiment in Terror.
Now,
lo, these many years later, his dream has not only been
realized, but has taken on a life of its own. About
once every month, a rag-tag band of local folks gather
together in the basement of the Ashland Elks Lodge to
share a pot-luck meal and watch the worst films in the
world.
Before
the film showing around 7:00 pm, there are short films,
old cartoons, original videos, and one episode from
an ancient movie serial.
The pot luck dinner is open to all members of The
Bad Film Society. All that's needed to become a member
is to add your email address to the signup list when
you come to a meeting.
