The
Wild World of Batwoman
The feature will be the pop culture gem, The Wild
World of Batwoman from 1966. Slightly overage Katherine
Victor stars in a tight black costume with a cheap
mask, teased hair and a rubber bat glued to her
chest. She and her bikini-clad, go-go dancing Batgirls
battle Dr. Neon and Ratfink who are after a hearing
aid/atomic bomb and use laughter pills! Godawful
director, Jerry Warren was sued for using the name
Batwoman, so he changed the title to She Was a
Hippy Vampire. He lost so much cash fighting the
lawsuit, it was years before he blessed us with
more of his cinematic charms.
Also,
don’t miss the first episode of the
1939 serial The Phantom Creeps! Starring bad film
favorite Bela Lugosi as Dr. Zorka who has a giant
snarling robot, an invisibility belt, a z-ray gun
and mechanical death spiders! |
