Horror of The Blood Monsters

First ... !

For a super special treat there will be a screening of recently unearthed vintage Southern Oregon tourism and educational films. None of this stuff has been seen for decades, if ever! Highlights will be: "Southern Oregon-Land of Fulfillment" from the 60s, Chamber of Commerce raw footage of Medford and Jacksonville from the 50s and "Maps-Know Where You're Going", an Adam Sandler production filmed at now closed Briscoe School. Rare treats! Yeech!

And then ... !

The feature film will be Al Adamson's Horror of The Blood Monsters. It gets the award for the most alternate titles; Blood Creatures from the Prehistoric Planet, Horror Creatures of the Prehistoric Planet, Creatures of the Red Planet, Space Mission to the Lost Planet and Vampire Men of the Lost Planet. It's a US made intergalactic vampire/space travel film with John Carradine atrociously cut and pasted with a black & white Filipino caveman movie with "snake men", "bat demons", and "claw creatures". The black & white scenes were tinted different colors because the planet was poisoned with "chromatic radiation." The phony color was even advertised as "Spectrum X!"
